ONYX Insight (ONYX), a leader in predictive maintenance technology, and Sermec Group (Sermec), a provider of wind energy services, have achieved a key milestone with the installation of their 1,000th drivetrain condition monitoring system (CMS). This accomplishment is part of the over 6,000 turbines ONYX monitors across Europe today, underscoring the growing adoption of predictive maintenance to optimise wind operations at a time when reliability concerns have never been higher.

Since their collaboration began in 2018, ONYX and Sermec have deployed ecoCMS and ecoCMS Flex systems across Europe, including in Spain, Portugal, Germany, and France. These systems provide owner-operators with critical clarity on wind turbine health, reduce unexpected downtime, de-risk catastrophic failures, and optimise power production through targeted derating and intelligent maintenance scheduling. Enabling owner-operators to maximise turbine efficiency, extend component life, and improve profitability at a time when wind turbine reliability is increasingly uncertain.
