ONYX’s picks up prestigious innovation award in Spain.
ONYX Insight wins AEE (Spanish Wind Energy Association) Eolo Innovation Awards for 2022 with its unique and innovative pitch detection product ecoPITCH.
ONYX Insight is widely respected for its heritage in drivetrain engineering, software and monitoring solutions. In the field of drivetrain condition monitoring, ONYX’s ecoCMS advanced sensor technology is already installed in over 7,000 wind turbines around the world, providing valuable insights to support asset managers, engineers and owner/operators to detect early failures, which has led to huge reductions in O&M costs plus valuable benefits in extending the life of turbines.
ONYX’s latest advanced sensor development, ecoPITCH, is a unique and innovative solution for online monitoring of pitch bearings, enabling wind farm to detect problems and plan maintenance more effectively, delivering significant O&M cost savings and providing early warning of catastrophic failures. ecoPITCH was launched in 2021 and has seen a huge amount of interest and success to date, with units now installed around the world.
The ONYX team is extremely proud to have been awarded an Eolo Innovation Award by the AEE (Spanish Wind Energy Association), recognising the technical innovation and success of the ecoPITCH solution.
This new award closely follows ONYX’s two prestigious Queens Awards for Enterprise, the highest level of business award in the UK, received in recognition of ONYX’s its significant impact in the fields of Innovation and International Trade.
