The opportunity

ONYX InSight is an established technology and engineering organisation in the renewable energy sector. Due to strong growth in our EU market, we are now seeking an outgoing and motivated professional in our global Business Development team. Based in our new office in Madrid, you will bring a strong network in the wind sector and have a solid technical background. Reporting to the Regional manager this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team and lead the next phase of regional growth for our organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the full customer relationship management process from planning to proposal and delivery.

Travel to customers and pitch ONYX products and services; develop and deliver digital customer communication solutions

Build our opportunity pipeline and close opportunities

Scope and develop business opportunities with the internal ONYX engineering/customer success team

Contribute to the successful planning and delivery of customer events such as trade shows, conferences and technical symposiums

Plan and deliver high quality digital customer marketing events

Be accountable for sales target achievement

Person Specification

5 years’ experience of marketing and selling technical solutions in the renewables sector; strong B2B and wind experience is required

An established Wind network is essential for this role

Deep knowledge of the customer landscape in renewables across Southern Europe and Iberia.

Strong contract/commercial and relationship management skills

Key Responsibilities

The Role

You will be a well established data engineer, with proven experience in building pipelines to extract, transform, load, and store large (100’s GB) of data coming from a variety of sources and in a variety of formats. Experience in the renewable energy sector, with cloud computing services such as AWS, and with modern ML stacks in Python will be the key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop , expand, and maintain data pipeline solutions which can store, process, and extract value from a large amount and variety of data related to the wind energy sector.
  • Develop solutions which use that data in aggregate to bring insights and values to customers.
  • Be responsible for combining and enriching very disparate data sources, including SCADA-data, time series data, time-waveforms, text-data, image data, and numerical data.

  • Work closely with the Advanced Sensing team to develop a deep understanding of Onyx Insight’s ecoCMS product

Acting as the lead for systematically identifying and resolving issues, you will play a key role in ensuring installation projects go smoothly for our customers.
