In September 2025, ONYX Insight acquired ELEVEN-I, the UK-based specialist in blade condition monitoring and advanced analytics.

The acquisition of ELEVEN-I further strengthens ONYX Insight’s whole turbine predictive maintenance platform with the addition of proven blade monitoring capability. Giving wind operators a single place to monitor and manage whole turbine risk, avoid catastrophic failures and optimise maintenance across their fleets.

Bill has been running successful businesses since 2011, with a focus on smart systems and automation for blue chip companies including Ford Europe. He has established relationships with a major wind turbine OEMs providing bespoke condition monitoring solutions since 2015.
Dr. John Coultate

VP, Advanced Sensing

John leads the team responsible for hardware and sensor solutions in condition monitoring. He has been with ONYX - through its roots in Romax - since 2007 and holds a PhD in mechanical engineering.
Dr Phil Shackleton

Principal Engineer Blade Sensing

Through working on a wide range of research and commercial projects, Phil has become an expert in the application of numerical methods to analyse, and provide solutions to, real-world engineering problems. His work has helped customers achieve system level optimisation, support step changes to sector-wide operational safety, and directly influenced standards change.
